Dean Altenhofen, II is a Board-Certified Counselor specializing in individual, couples and family therapy. In addition to founding and managing the Effective Counseling Center, he provides evaluative and consulting services in the office of Sydney Crackower MD, a family physician with more than 40 years of experience.
With over 13 years experience helping people along the path of life, and as a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, he is currently working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among his areas of expertise are Chronic Pain, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD / ADHD), and Interpersonal Relationships.
In addition to being a prominent relationship therapist, Dean has attended national and regional conferences on the topics of Chronic Pain, Attention Deficit Disorder, Anger Elimination, and Sand Tray Therapy.
Dean is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. His therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. He integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, he works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
